Seisenbergklamm (Seisenberg Ravine) in Weissbach near Lofer
The entrance to the Seisenbergklamm is located in Weißbach near Lofer and was designated as a natural monument due to its beauty and uniqueness.
The formation started about 12,000 years ago. The melting ice from the ice age, rain and sweeping rubble formed the Seisenbergklamm.
Lumberjacks first created a walkway through the Seisenbergklamm in 1831. It has a length of 600 metres and used it to transport wood out of the mountains.
A visit to the ravine takes about 1 hour.
The Seisenbergklamm is also an ideal entry point for numerous hikes.
The Seisenbergklamm is open from early May to end October.
TIP: Access to the Seisenbergklamm is free of charge with the Salzburger Saalachtal Summer Card!
